Danah Boyd is my new idol on the topic of SNS (Social Networking Sites). On her website, you can find a wealth of information on her academic research on SNS & its' social impacts, digital backchannels, New Media & Learning etc. Some information about her for further credibility, she's currently doing a PhD at School of Information at the University of California (Berkeley) & a Fellow at Harvard Law School's BerkMan Center for Internet & Society. I've gotten alot of my information from these sources.

One of the most generous people out there in the social media space, Chris Brogan is definitely worth checking out because of the great advice he dishes out on blogging, Twitter, community and the likes. Here are his self labeled "best of " posts and you can also sign up for his newsletter (which has separate content from the site...but I find he doesn't release new editions of this that often; the blog is pretty comprehensive on it's own).

Ben Joffe over at +8* (plus eight star) does awesome work and sees Asia's markets clearly. My must-read blog.
